To select a video door phone model that’s right for you, decide which features seem most important to you:
1. Image quality. Except for the V100, all our models have 7-inch screens. Certain models also come with a wide-angle camera for easily recognising your visitors.
2. A programmable touchscreen interface for the interior monitor. V500 offers an intuitive interface with touchscreen.
3. Visits history mode. Would you like to save the photos taken by your videophone? This will enable you to see who rang when you were away.
4. Multi-unit management. Several more buttons can be added to the outside intercom for extra units. This configuration is available with the VsystemPro range.
5. A badge reader or keypad module. Built into the call panel, the reader makes opening the gate easier. Available with the Vsystem PRO range.
The points to check before selecting a Video door phone: 1. What is the distance between the interior monitor and the outside intercom? It shouldn’t be more than 100 to 150 meters away (up to 250m for VSystem Pro range) for the system to work. 2. Is there a power supply near the interior monitor? 3. Are two wires available to connect the monitor to the outside intercom? The wire gauge must be verified for the model selected and the distance. 4. Is there wiring connecting the outside intercom to the gate's motorised system and/or the electric latch release?
